Role Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Estimator to join our team. This role is critical to our project pipeline, ensuring that we provide potential clients with professional, competitive, and highly accurate pricing for both new residential builds and remodeling projects. Key Responsibilities Rapid Bid Turnaround: Produce comprehensive cost estimates for new construction and remodel projects within 48 hours of receiving project specifications or site visit notes. Precision & Accuracy: Develop detailed material take-offs and labor cost assessments to ensure project profitability and prevent budget overruns. Scope Analysis: Review blueprints, architectural drawings, and site conditions to identify potential structural challenges or hidden costs, especially in remodel environments. Vendor Coordination: Solicit and verify quotes from subcontractors and suppliers to ensure current market pricing. Documentation: Maintain organized digital records of all estimates, revisions, and historical cost data. Qualifications & Skills Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of residential construction processes, from excavation and framing to high-end finishes and HVAC systems. Remodel Expertise: Ability to accurately "read" existing structures and account for the complexities inherent in renovation work. Time Management: Exceptional ability to prioritize multiple bids simultaneously while meeting strict deadlines. Technical Proficiency: Skilled in using estimating software, Excel, and digital takeoff tools. Communication: Clear professional communication skills to explain cost breakdowns to the management team and clients. Performance Goals Speed: Maintain a consistent 48-hour or less delivery window for all initial estimates. Accuracy: Minimize the variance between estimated costs and actual job costs. Efficiency: Help streamline the hand-off process between the sales phase and the start of production.
