Duties Perform thorough cleaning duties across various areas, including lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and common spaces using commercial cleaning techniques. Conduct janitorial and custodial tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, and disinfecting surfaces to uphold high hygiene standards. Carry out floor care activities including buffing, polishing, and maintaining different types of flooring to ensure a polished appearance. Support facilities maintenance by reporting any repairs needed or safety hazards identified during your shift. Assist with industrial cleaning tasks when required, utilizing appropriate equipment for heavy-duty cleaning projects. Maintain cleanliness in designated areas while adhering to health and safety regulations. Support general porter responsibilities such as moving supplies or furniture and ensuring the facility remains secure during off-hours. Qualifications Proven experience in cleaning, janitorial work, or custodial services with a strong understanding of commercial or industrial cleaning procedures. Familiarity with floor care techniques including buffing and polishing to maintain flooring quality. Prior experience in facilities maintenance or porter roles is highly desirable. Knowledge of cleaning products, equipment operation, and safety protocols related to custodial work. Ability to work independently during evening hours with minimal supervision while maintaining attention to detail. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently. Physical stamina to perform manual cleaning tasks such as lifting supplies, standing for extended periods, and operating cleaning machinery.
