Job Description
About DroidDepot DroidDepot is building a managed marketplace for renting, leasing, and buying robots. We help companies, event planners, venues, trade shows, experiential agencies, retailers, warehouses, and service businesses request robots for demos, rentals, activations, pilots, leases, and purchase inquiries. Our initial wedge is premium corporate events and activations , where robots can create audience engagement, brand differentiation, trade show traffic, entertainment, and memorable customer experiences. DroidDepot has a live MVP at droiddepot.shop . We are seeing early demand signals around use cases such as humanoid demos, robot bartenders, robot hosts, branded robot experiences, trade show activations, and corporate event entertainment. At the same time, DroidDepot is building the supply side of the marketplace by engaging prospective robot providers, distributors, integrators, operators, and related channels. Customer opportunities must be matched with real supplier availability, pricing, operator support, location, insurance requirements, safety requirements, and deployment feasibility. Role Overview We are looking for an Event Partnerships & Business Development Lead to help DroidDepot turn early market interest into qualified conversations, LOIs, paid pilots, channel partnerships, and revenue. This is a fractional, commission-based, performance-oriented opportunity . It is not a full-time salaried employee role at the start. This role is best for someone with relationships in corporate events, experiential marketing, brand activations, trade shows, venues, hospitality, event production, entertainment booking, sponsorships, or premium B2B sales. The ideal person can help DroidDepot access buyers, qualify event demand, shape the event offering, and create a pipeline of opportunities that can be matched with the right robot suppliers. What You Will Do You will help DroidDepot build the demand side of the marketplace while coordinating closely with the founder on supplier fit, pricing, logistics, and deployment feasibility. Responsibilities include Identify corporate event planners, experiential agencies, venues, trade show organizers, event producers, hospitality groups, brand teams, and corporate buyers. Introduce DroidDepot to qualified buyers and channel partners. Help generate LOIs, pilot discussions, paid demo opportunities, event rental opportunities, and strategic channel partnerships. Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified corporate event and activation opportunities. Help package DroidDepot offerings for use cases such as humanoid demos, robot bartenders, robot hosts, entertainment robots, and branded activations. Gather customer requirements, including event date, location, budget, robot type, audience size, venue constraints, operator needs, insurance requirements, and safety expectations. Help determine whether each opportunity is realistic based on supplier availability, logistics, pricing, and deployment complexity. Provide feedback on pricing, buyer objections, event requirements, sales messaging, and customer expectations. Support outreach, follow-up, and partner conversations. Work directly with the founder to prioritize the highest-value and most feasible opportunities. How DroidDepot Qualifies Opportunities DroidDepot is a managed marketplace, not a robot manufacturer. Our role is to qualify customer demand, match it with suitable robot providers, and coordinate the requirements needed for a successful deployment. For every serious opportunity, DroidDepot must confirm: Robot availability Location and travel feasibility Pricing and margin Operator requirements Setup and teardown needs Venue requirements Insurance and liability requirements Safety requirements Deposit or damage terms Customer expectations Supplier willingness to support the use case This role is not only about creating demand. It is also about helping qualify demand so DroidDepot can match the right customer opportunity with the right supply partner. This is important because DroidDepot wants to avoid selling unrealistic robot experiences before supplier feasibility is confirmed. What We Are Looking For Ideal background includes one or more of the following: Corporate events Experiential marketing Brand activations Trade shows Event production Venue partnerships Hospitality partnerships Entertainment booking Premium B2B sales Sponsorships or corporate partnerships Technology demos or hardware activations You are a strong f
