A Tex-Mex mashup of cuisine and culture, Ometeo is inspired by the ingredients, techniques, and heritage from West Texas down to the Gulf Coast. Ometeo's culinary foundation is rooted firmly in Tex-Mex tradition, heightened by Long Shot Hospitality's passion for seafood and local produce. Under the guidance of two award-winning chefs- Long Shot Hospitality chef-owner Kyle Bailey and Texas-native Top Chef winner Gabe Erales- we’re taking Tex Mex and breathing fresh air into it without compromising the warm, comforting memories most people associate with sizzling platters, good times, and margaritas. Long Shot Hospitality has a reputation for building very strong and loyal regular neighborhood followings, and so we are actively looking for hospitality professionals to join our team who will be focused on doing the same in our newest venue. Ideal candidates have both fine dining and high volume experience; are reliable, efficient, and organized; are excellent TEAM players who truly enjoy providing memorable guest experiences. Candidates bring a high-energy, positive, and professional approach to the position and possess a genuine passion and enthusiasm for hospitality and the restaurant business. Position Overview The Events & Guest Relations Manager plays a dual role within the restaurant. Events are handled from a true sales and marketing perspective- not just from inquiry to execution, but through proactive business development, networking, and thoughtful post-event follow-up to drive repeat and referral business. Guest Relations is all about great service- from touching tables and recognizing returning guests to coaching the team on service standards and elevating the overall guest experience. This position is ideal for a hospitality professional with a strong sales and marketing background. The right candidate is organized and detail-oriented administratively, while equally confident leading the team in the restaurant. This role requires strong communication skills, solid food & beverage knowledge, and the ability to build lasting relationships with guests while driving events revenue and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities Events, Sales & Marketing Proactively generate new event business through networking, community outreach, partnerships, and relationship building Identify and pursue corporate, social, and repeat event opportunities Communication with event clients from inquiry to post-event follow up Work with FOH and BOH teams to ensure guest satisfaction and seamless event execution Create customized proposals and packages that drive revenue while aligning with company standards Maintain and manage event calendar, contracts, and client database Maintain a strong understanding of food & beverage offerings, pricing strategy, and profitability Guest Relations & Floor Management Actively engage with guests during service to build relationships and ensure satisfaction Recognize and cultivate repeat and VIP guests Coach and mentor FOH staff on hospitality standards, service flow, and guest engagement Handle guest concerns and recovery with professionalism and confidence Support scheduling, service communication, and daily operations as needed What We Offer: ✔ Competitive salary (commensurate with experience) ✔ Quality-of-life scheduling ✔ Two weeks paid time off + 5 sick days, opportunity to earn more PTO with tenure ✔ Company healthcare plan ✔ 50% company-wide dining discount ✔ Parking benefits ✔ Daily shift meal ✔ Strong leadership support & advancement opportunities Desired Qualifications: 2+ years of restaurant and event experience 2+ years of sales/marketing experience Proven leadership ability in high-volume/upscale environments Strong organizational and administrative skills Solid understanding of sales operations and revenue generation Strong food & beverage knowledge Professional, punctual, reliable Team-oriented mindset Ability to drive performance and success of the restaurant and staff Must be comfortable being on your feet for extended periods of time and working both indoors and outdoors If you are looking for your next challenge and are ready to be a part of someplace special, we want to meet you!
