JOB SUMMARY Horseshoe Baltimore Casino is seeking a passionate, driven, and hands-on Executive Chef to lead and rebuild the Culinary Department. This role is responsible for overseeing all culinary operations across three restaurants, a bake shop, a 24-hour employee dining room, and occasional banquet and special events. The ideal candidate is a strong culinary leader with proven operational, administrative, and organizational skills who thrives in a high-volume environment and is fully committed to developing people, rebuilding culture, and elevating product quality and consistency. HOW YOU WILL CREATE THE EXTRAORDINARY Provide strategic leadership and day-to-day oversight of all culinary operations across the property Rebuild, mentor, and lead a diverse culinary team with a focus on accountability, engagement, and development Ensure consistent execution of quality, presentation, and food standards across all outlets Oversee menu development, recipe standardization, and seasonal menu updates Manage labor planning, scheduling, and productivity while maintaining budgetary controls Maintain strong administrative oversight including food cost, inventory, purchasing, and financial reporting Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, health department, and company standards Establish strong kitchen organization systems, workflows, and operational procedures Collaborate with Food & Beverage leadership, HR, Facilities, and Engineering teams Support banquet and special event culinary execution as needed Promote a solutions-oriented mindset focused on continuous improvement WHAT YOU WILL NEED Proven experience as an Executive Chef or Senior Sous Chef overseeing complex or multi-unit culinary operations Strong culinary fundamentals with experience in high-volume environments Demonstrated ability to multitask and manage competing priorities Strong administrative and financial skills including labor management and food cost control Excellent kitchen organization and operational leadership capabilities Experience hiring, developing, and leading culinary teams Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills Casino, hotel, resort, or large-scale hospitality experience preferred Leadership Profile Passionate about food, people, and operational excellence Hands-on, visible, and approachable leadership style Highly organized, disciplined, and detail-oriented Eager and committed to rebuilding and elevating a culinary department Leads by example while holding teams accountable TOGETHER WE WIN We believe in delivering family-style service—an approach that fosters warmth, connection, and a genuine sense of belonging.
