Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director provides strategic, operational, and financial leadership while serving as the organization's chief executive and public representative. This role collaborates closely with clinical and training leadership to ensure high quality, ethical, trauma informed, and culturally responsive counseling services in alignment with IHMCC's mission and values. Position Summary The Executive Director provides visionary, strategic, and operational leadership for Immaculate Heart of Mary Counseling Center (IHMCC). The Executive Director is responsible for advancing the mission, vision, and long-term sustainability of the organization while ensuring high quality, ethical, trauma-informed mental health services. This role serves as the chief executive and public representative of the organization and works in close collaboration with the Board of Directors, the Director of Clinical Services, and the Director of Integrated Training and Formation to ensure excellence in governance, clinical services, financial stewardship, fundraising, and community impact. The Executive Director ensures that IHMCC delivers accessible, culturally responsive, and trauma-informed mental health counseling while maintaining compliance with legal, financial, clinical, and ethical standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Strategic Leadership & Governance Partner with the Board of Directors to shape and implement IHMCC's mission, vision, and strategic priorities Build and cultivate an effective, engaged, and informed Board of Directors Provide regular, timely reports to the Board on organizational performance, finances, risks, and impact Implement Board decisions and communicate direction to staff as appropriate Ensure organizational compliance with bylaws, policies, and governance best practices Program Oversight & Clinical Collaboration Collaborate with the Clinical Director to oversee clinical operations, front office staff, and administrative functions Ensure services are high-quality, accessible, ethical, and trauma-informed Monitor program outcomes and lead continuous quality improvement initiatives Support culturally responsive, client-centered care across all programs Financial Management & Fund Development Lead the development and management of the annual budget in collaboration with finance staff and the Board Maintain fiscally sound policies, internal controls, and reserve management Design, implement, and oversee development and fundraising strategies to support short- and long-term sustainability Cultivate relationships with donors, foundations, corporations, and community partners Maintain accurate records of fundraising revenue, grants, and financial disbursements Ensure compliance with grant requirements and donor stewardship practices Human Resources & Organizational Leadership Lead recruitment, onboarding, supervision, and evaluation of staff and key leadership roles Foster an inclusive, collaborative, trauma-informed workplace culture Ensure staff training in ethics, HIPAA, safety, risk management, and trauma-informed practices Capture and maintain institutional knowledge to support continuity and long-term stability Compliance & Risk Management Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations (including HIPAA
