Essential Job Functions: Oversee all aspects of facilities and program operations to ensure best practices and high quality while adhering to the company’s policies and procedures as well as meeting state, federal and payor requirements for the level of care of the programs overseen. Direct operational leadership of clinical and non-clinical departments, food services, facilities & security, with matrixed leadership for system support functions like human resources & patient accounts. Provides for clear lines of responsibility and accountability within all departments. Takes financial responsibility for managing P&L and working with VP of Fincance to optimize effective business operations while improving profitability. Accountable for creating structures to ensure regulatory compliance with CARF, Joint Commission & Department of Health. Responsible for insuring all programs meet contractual requirements for payor reimbursement. Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of standards of practice and Code of Ethics. Initiating any quality improvement measures and metrics tracking that may be necessary to improve operations with direct oversight of any/all audits as necessary. With the support of Human Resources staff, insures adequate and ongoing training of facility employees, monitoring and assessing staff morale and building team spirit and continuity; intervening and addressing any staff-related issues that are presented. Participates in the interview process of prospective staff members to insure we are hiring the most qualified employees for facility roles. Working with staff and facility managers to arrange coverage of all shifts, ensuring adequate staffing is provided. Adjusting staffing to match census when necessary. Providing on-call support in conjunction with clinical staff and providing ultimate oversight when necessary, which includes time outside of typical business hours. Conducting facility tours for professionals in the community or families as necessary. Attends outside functions and conferences related to business development. Development, oversight and management of relationships with referral sources. Information technology and system performance oversight for entire facility, to include electronic health record governance. Perform all duties as assigned. Maintaining the confidential nature of resident and related activities. Knowledge, Training, Functional Competencies and Experience require at time of hire: Strong financial acumen with a proven track record of improving operations of a healthcare organization that also includes improving financial performance and managing P&Ls. New program & facility startup experience strongly preferred. Ability to navigate and implement the full scope from high-level strategy to small execution detail. Must be able to conceptualize and implement new treatment programs and plans in conjunction with executive leadership with fully developed problems, objectives, goals and results. Knowledge of CARF & Joint Commission Standards. Knowledge of State & Federal Statutes regarding all governing compliance including patient confidentiality, drug-free workplace and other policies. Knowledge of workplace violence. Exceptional project management skills (ability to establish, develop, implement, and execute strategic plans). Ability to deal with complexity and think analytically with a structured and metrics-oriented approach .
