The housekeeping team plays a vital role in delivering that experience. We're seeking a dedicated Executive Housekeeper to lead and support our team, ensuring cleanliness and quality standards are met throughout the hotel. Job Summary: The Executive Housekeeper oversees daily housekeeping operations and leads by example to ensure guest rooms, common areas, and laundry operations meet IHG standards. This working supervisor role combines inspections, staff coordination, inventory management, and hands-on support to create a smooth, efficient, and welcoming environment for guests and staff alike. Responsibilities: Supervise and support housekeeping team members during daily operations Inspect guest rooms and public areas for cleanliness and maintenance needs Assign daily room and task schedules based on occupancy and staffing Assist in training and coaching new and existing team members Perform room cleaning and laundry duties as needed during peak periods Ensure compliance with brand standards, OSHA guidelines, and company procedures Maintain proper inventory of linens, cleaning supplies, and guest room items Communicate effectively with Front Desk and Maintenance departments Address guest requests and resolve complaints quickly and professionally Foster a positive, productive, and team-oriented work culture Qualifications: 1–2 years of housekeeping experience required Prior supervisory or team lead experience strongly preferred Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Ability to motivate and hold team members accountable Knowledge of commercial cleaning practices and safety protocols Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, kneel, and stand for long periods Available to work weekends, holidays, and a flexible schedule as needed High school diploma or equivalent required Benefits: Competitive hourly pay IHG employee hotel discounts worldwide Paid time off Supportive team environment Opportunities for advancement and cross-training Flexible scheduling Apply today to lead a hardworking team and help Candlewood Suites Mankato East deliver clean comfort to every guest, every stay.
