Hourly Pay Range: $26.61 - $39.92 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors. Position Highlights: Position: Exercise Physiologist Location: Highland Park Hospital Hours: 40 hours per week Schedule: M-F, 7:30-4:00pm, rotating Saturday and Sunday, and rotating holidays. What you will need: Bachelor of Science degree in an exercise science or a related field (e.g. Kinesiology or Physical Education). Current CPR Certification issued by either American Heart Association or Red Cross. ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification (within 6 months of hire.) Ability to work in fast paced environment in hospital and outpatient setting. Experience in cardiac stress testing or clinical cardiology setting preferred. Strong knowledge of cardiovascular physiology and ECG interpretation. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. What you will do: Conduct and monitor cardiac stress testing, including treadmill and pharmacologic stress exams, in accordance with established protocols. Perform EKGs and application of cardiac monitors (Zio, Holter) according to department protocol. Initiate and maintain intravenous (IV) access for pharmacologic stress testing and contrast administration, following safety and infection control standards Continuously assess patient response during testing (heart rate, blood pressure, ECG changes, symptoms) and respond appropriately to ensure patient safety. Prepare patients for procedures by explaining test protocols, obtaining relevant history, and ensuring proper electrode placement and equipment setup.
