Experienced Dog Groomer

Pawsability Dog Club is seeking an experienced Groomer to join our dog daycare in Bushwick, Brooklyn! We are a growing facility offering a spacious, private grooming room dedicated entirely to you and your top-notch grooming experiences.We are looking for an experienced Dog Groomer to operate our grooming salon on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays starting at 9:00 AM.The groomer will be responsible for managing the grooming schedule and completing as many dogs as possible each day while maintaining high-quality grooming standards.Scheduling details will be discussed with the selected candidate.This position offers flexibility, as candidates may choose to work as either a 1099 contractor or a W2 employee.Position Overview:As a Groomer, you will:Deliver top-quality care to our amazing clients, who are both kind and cool.Work with our General Manager to establish a schedule that is mutually beneficial for you, our clients and our team.Provide your own grooming tools and maintain a professional client-following.Greet clients to discuss their desired grooming services, ensure clear communication about their pet's needs, and provide a positive and professional experience from drop-off to pick-up.Count on our team for client outreach and marketing support to encourage repeat bookings and help maintain a full and consistent schedule.Use our grooming space independently without sharing with other groomers, ensuring focus and efficiency.Maintain the grooming area in a clean, organized, and sanitary condition.Key Benefits:Flexible scheduling options within an accommodating work environment.Clients are booked every 2 hours to ensure you have the time needed to meet customer expectations.This can change based on preference or need.Opportunity to grow your client base within a supportive team environment.Requirements & Qualifications:Grooming Certificate:A certificate is preferred, but a robust portfolio showcasing exceptional grooming skills may substitute.Portfolio must be up to date and recent.Experience:Minimum of 3 years of professional grooming experience with repeat clients.Be prepared to present your portfolio and references.Communication Skills:Strong oral and written communication abilities.Professionalism:Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and the ability to manage schedules and appointments effectively.Technical Skills:Ability to make sound decisions, solve problems efficiently, and manage time well.Practical Demonstration:Final candidates will be asked to perform a grooming demonstration on a test dog before selection.If you're passionate about delivering exceptional grooming services and want to be part of a mission-focused organization, we'd love to hear from you!
