Responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items with precision, following established recipes and presentation standards. Assist in menu planning and ingredient selection to support seasonal and special offerings. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen station, including proper food handling and storage practices. Support food safety protocols by adhering to sanitation standards and safe food handling procedures. Collaborate with team members during busy service hours to ensure timely meal delivery. Help with food prep tasks such as chopping, portioning, and assembling ingredients for various dishes. Contribute to catering events or special functions by preparing large quantities of food while maintaining quality. Experience Prior experience in a restaurant or food industry setting is essential, especially in fine dining environments. Strong knife skills and proficiency in food preparation techniques are required. Knowledge of dietary department procedures and dietary aide experience is a plus. Familiarity with menu planning, meal preparation, and food service operations is highly desirable. Experience with food safety regulations and proper food handling practices is necessary. Culinary experience that demonstrates versatility across different cuisines or catering settings is preferred. Ability to thrive under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
