Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and skilled Experienced Veterinary Technician to join our dynamic veterinary team. Responsibilities Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures by preparing instruments, maintaining sterile fields, and monitoring patient vital signs Perform animal restraint and handling using proper techniques to ensure safety for both animals and staff Conduct laboratory tests including blood work, urinalysis, and other diagnostic procedures to support accurate diagnoses Maintain detailed medical records, update patient histories, and document treatments accurately in compliance with clinic protocols Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as prescribed by veterinarians while educating pet owners on post-care instructions Support dental procedures by utilizing dental terminology knowledge, performing dental cleanings, and assisting with oral examinations Handle pet grooming, pet care routines, and kennel management to ensure animals are comfortable and well-cared-for during their stay Operate diagnostic equipment such as X-ray machines while adhering to aseptic techniques and safety standards Assist with animal husbandry tasks including feeding, cleaning enclosures, and monitoring animal physiology for signs of illness or distress Support veterinary critical care efforts by monitoring hospitalized patients and providing emergency interventions when necessary Experience Proven veterinary technician experience with a strong background in animal handling across various species including dogs, cats, and equines Demonstrated kennel experience along with proficiency in dog training and pet grooming techniques Familiarity with veterinary terminology, animal anatomy knowledge, and veterinary critical care procedures Laboratory experience including sample collection, processing, and analysis of laboratory tests Experience with radiography (X-ray) operation and interpretation is highly desirable Knowledge of aseptic technique to prevent infection during surgical or invasive procedures Ability to perform animal catheterization and utilize animal restraint effectively in high-pressure situations Prior experience working in fast-paced veterinary clinics or hospitals that emphasize pet care excellence Join us to be part of a dedicated team committed to advancing animal health through compassionate care, technical expertise, and continuous learning.
