Job Summary We are seeking a friendly and efficient Expo/Food Runner to join our dynamic hospitality team. The Expo plays a vital role in ensuring timely and accurate delivery of food orders from the kitchen to guests, enhancing overall guest experience. This position requires excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of food safety, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Prior experience in food service or hospitality is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided. The ideal candidate will be passionate about customer service and committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and professionalism. Responsibilities Deliver hot and cold food orders promptly from the kitchen to dining tables, ensuring accuracy and presentation standards are met. Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including plating and garnishing. Support servers by bussing tables, refilling beverages, and attending to guest needs to ensure a smooth dining experience. Maintain cleanliness in the service area, including clearing plates and sanitizing surfaces regularly. Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing when required. Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate timely food delivery and address any special dietary requests or modifications. Uphold food safety standards by handling food properly and adhering to sanitation protocols. Communicate effectively with team members to ensure seamless service flow during busy periods. Assist with banquet or special event setups if necessary, providing guest services that exceed expectations. Qualifications Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality environments is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates. Knowledge of food handling, safety procedures, and sanitation standards. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS is a plus. Experience with food preparation, serving, bussing, or kitchen operations is advantageous. Strong communication skills and a friendly demeanor to provide excellent guest services. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed; availability for shifts that may include banquet events or large parties is desirable.
