The Facilities Maintenance Technician is the on‑site expert responsible for maintaining the building, grounds, and operational equipment across the production and warehouse facilities. This role performs a wide range of hands‑on repairs including minor electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, hydraulics, and general building upkeep, while also installing and servicing appliances, loading docks, air compressors, conveyors, presses, robots, and other production tools. As the primary point of contact for all facility and equipment issues, this position troubleshoots problems, determines when outside support is required, and coordinates contractors and vendors to ensure timely, safe, and cost‑effective resolution. Duties And Responsibilities Primary point of contact for maintenance and facility issues. Carry out specific assignments as directed by the Maintenance Work Order system, including both preventive maintenance and unscheduled repairs. Maintain facilities data and schedules in the Maintenance Work Order system. Provide maintenance support for shift operations, including but not limited to repairs and PM’s for dock equipment, forklift, conveyors, and other duties as necessary. Trouble shooting of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC and hydraulic systems. Install new equipment or work with outside vendors on installation. Make required alterations / modifications to equipment and systems. Assist in establishing and revising maintenance standards and procedures. Work in safe and healthy manner, strictly following all safety rules and regulations. Maintain a neat, clean, orderly work area in compliance with 5-S Standards. Perform janitorial duties around the facilities. Perform special projects or other duties assigned by Manager. Travel between on‑site locations and to external retail vendors to obtain supplies and equipment. A personal vehicle is required; mileage for approved company travel is reimbursed. Maintain travel and purchase records. Submit such records into the company approval system. Ability and willingness to work overtime as required and mandated by production schedules; “on-call” duty may be required over holidays and weekends. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and push/pull up to 100 lbs. Ability to bend, twist, turn, kneel, squat, and climb. Stand and walk for the duration of assigned shift. Work safely around moving equipment, power tools, and industrial vehicles. It may be necessary to perform any of these functions up to twelve hours a day. Required Skills High School diploma or GED. 2+ years previous maintenance experience. Knowledge of proper safety protocols and escalation procedures. Display communication and leadership skills, both written and verbally. Desired Skills AA degree or specialized training. 3-5 years maintenance experience. Base Pay Range $21.60 - $30.05 Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. Visa sponsorship will not be provided.
