Maintenance Mechanic – Condominium Community Castel Del Mare Condominium Association Sarasota, FL Job Overview Castel Del Mare Condominium Association is seeking a dependable, skilled, and self-motivated Maintenance Mechanic to join our community operations team. This position is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance, repair, and upkeep of our condominium property, including buildings, grounds, common areas, and mechanical systems. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, responds professionally to residents, and can work independently with minimal supervision. Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance, cleaning and repairs throughout the condominium community Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, lighting, doors, locks, drywall, and minor carpentry issues Maintain and repair common area equipment and building systems Conduct preventative maintenance inspections Assist with vendor coordination and monitor contractor work onsite Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas Respond to maintenance requests and emergency calls as needed Assist with hurricane preparation and post-storm property inspections Help maintain pool, exterior walkways, carports, stairwells, and community amenities Identify safety concerns and report major repair needs Qualifications Minimum 3 years of maintenance or facilities experience preferred Experience in condominium, hotel, commercial property, or apartment maintenance strongly preferred Working knowledge of: Plumbing Electrical Drywall and painting Mechanical systems General building maintenance Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Reliable transportation Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work outdoors in Florida weather conditions Professional appearance and positive attitude EPA, HVAC, pool certification, or trade licenses are a plus but not required Compensation & Benefits Competitive pay based on experience Full-time position Stable work environment Opportunity for long-term growth Schedule Monday through Friday On-call availability for emergencies as needed Work Location In person – Castel Del Mare, Sarasota, FL How to Apply Please submit your resume along with a brief description of your maintenance experience.
