Job Description
Objective The Facilities Manager leads the facilities maintenance function at a high-pressure die-casting facility, ensuring safe, reliable, and cost-effective operation of building systems, utilities, and infrastructure that support continuous production.This role manages staff (including facility technicians), contractors, budgets, preventive maintenance programs, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives to minimize downtime and optimize asset life-cycle performance Main Responsibilities Lead, coach, and develop the facilities team (technicians, contractors, temporary staff); set objectives, conduct performance reviews, and manage staffing levels and schedules including on-call rotations.Develop, implement, and continuously improve preventive and predictive maintenance programs for building systems and plant utilities:compressed air, chillers/cooling towers, boilers, hydraulic systems, pumps, HVAC, electrical distribution (up to medium voltage where applicable), dock equipment, and process-support systems.Oversee execution of corrective maintenance and rapid response to facility failures affecting production; prioritize work to minimize production impact and ensure root-cause analysis and corrective actions.Manage facility capital projects and plant upgrades:planning, budgeting, specification, procurement, contractor management, permitting, safety oversight, startup and commissioning.Own facility operating budget:prepare forecasts, manage expenditures, track cost savings, and justify capital requests based on ROI and risk mitigation.Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations (OSHA, EPA, local codes) and maintain related programs:lockout/tagout, confined space, spill response, permits, LOTO, hot work, and contractor safety.Maintain CMMS strategy:ensure accurate work order backlog, preventive maintenance schedules, asset records, spare parts lists, and KPIs (MTTR, MTBF, PM completion).Establish and monitor KPIs for reliability, safety, cost, and service levels; report performance to plant leadership and recommend improvements.Coordinate with production, engineering, quality, and EHS departments to support new product launches, tooling changes, and process adjustments.Manage vendor and contractor relationships:negotiate scopes, contracts, SLAs, and ensure quality, schedule adherence, and safety compliance.Lead continuous improvement and reliability-centered maintenance practices (RCM, predictive maintenance, vibration analysis, thermal imaging) to reduce downtime and costs.Oversee emergency preparedness and business continuity related to facility systems; lead incident investigations and drive corrective actions.Ensure spare parts strategy and inventory control to support critical assets and minimize stockouts.Position Requirements Previous experience in a supervisory role preferred.Problem-solving and organizational abilities.Facility Maintenance Equipment Maintenance Technical qualification Any Trade Certifications (Preferred) OSHA 30 Hour Certified (Preferred) Tipo de puesto:Tiempo completo Beneficios:Employee assistance program Parental leave Relocation assistance Retirement plan Lugar de trabajo:Empleo presencial.
