This position reports to: Facilities Manager __ Your Role And Responsibilities In this role, you will have the opportunity to perform various activities related to the maintenance and upkeep of facilities, buildings, grounds, and other related areas in accordance with agreed maintenance guidelines and procedures to increase the overall efficiency of the facility team. Each day, you will perform routine maintenance and repairs, including assisting with equipment and systems maintenance. You will also showcase your expertise by managing inventory and supplies, handling waste management, and maintaining cleanliness in common areas. The work model for the role is onsite. This role is contributing to the Pinetops, NC facility. You will be mainly accountable for: Performing various tasks related to the maintenance, operation, and cleanliness of a facility. Conducting inspections to identify maintenance needs and taking appropriate actions. Carrying out building cleaning operations in accordance with ABB cleaning standards. Monitoring common areas, including parking and green areas, and ensuring proper maintenance, cleanliness, and adherence to established guidelines and standards. Qualifications For The Role Two Year Degree or 5 or more years experience required in manufacturing field You are highly skilled working with electrical and mechanical equipment and the factory environment Ability to demonstrate your experience in maintenance. (OPTIONAL: working as maintenance Technician with Electrical equipment) Possess an enhanced knowledge of ACAD and Microsoft Office. You are passionate about Safety and manufacturing and construction Processes You are at ease communicating in English Candidates must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US. Working conditions Manufacturing plant environment requires a combination of hands-on and technical tasks. Work may involve occasional lifting of materials, climbing stairs/ladders, and walking. Employees may be required to bend, twist, or stand for extended periods. Frequent use of computers is necessary for data entry, monitoring, and communication. Employees will also handle a variety of tools and equipment, from hand tools to machinery, requiring technical skills and adherence to safety protocols. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), such as safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toed shoes, is required to ensure a safe working environment. Adhering to safety guidelines is essential for all team members. The work environment requires physical endurance, technical proficiency, and a commitment to maintaining safety standards to contribute to a productive and rewarding workplace.
