Academic rank, compensation and appointment type will be based on qualifications and experience. Candidates must have demonstrated ability in teaching and in scholarly productivity. Minimum requirements are an MD or equivalent degree (D.O., MBBS, etc.), eligibility for medical licensure in the State of Minnesota, board certified or board eligible in AP or AP/CP, completion of an ACGME-accredited pathology residency training and pediatric pathology fellowship program. Candidates with sub-specialty training in GI/liver pathology with an interest in pediatric pathology will also be considered. This position will join a team of pathologists providing pathology service for patients served at M Health Fairview University of Minnesota Medical East and West and the Masonic Children's Hospital. Sign-out responsibilities, autopsy service, resident and fellow supervision and conferences are shared with other pediatric and anatomic pathology faculty within the division of anatomic pathology. Leadership opportunities in education or digital pathology exist for qualified candidates. Academic time will be used to pursue scholarly work in the candidate's area of specialty/research expertise. Preferred candidates will be active in their national organizations and foster an academic environment for medical students, residents, fellows and faculty.
