Job Description The General Manager is accountable to the Director of Fairway and is responsible for directing and managing his/her staff to provide a culture of hospitality and exceptional customer service no different than you find in a first class hotel or restaurant Additional duties included but no limited to are increase sales, protect company assets, maintaining store conditions, presentations, customer relations, associates relations through proper controls such as sanitations, merchandising, payroll and record keeping. Minimum Required Qualifications The minimum required qualifications for this position include, but are not limited to, the following: Possess excellent customer service skills Enjoy working in a dynamic environment. Have a flexible schedule, as some evenings and weekends are required Specialty food marketplace experience is required (at least 1 year) Ability to proficiently read, write, speak, analyze, interpret, and understand the English language. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Ability to stand/walk for the duration of a scheduled shift. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or associates of organizations. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
