Job Description
Role’s Mission: To serve as Christ Chapel’s positive and upbeat “first impression” to both guests and staff, whether in person or on the phone; as well as provide administrative support to the Fort Worth Campus Family Ministries; High School, Middle School, Kids, S.H.I.N.E., and Kids Care. Christ Chapel’s Mission: “To stretch every involved person from the threshold of their spiritual pilgrimage toward becoming a fully developing follower of Christ” (Col 1:28-29). Role’s Reporting Relationship: This position reports directly to the Fort Worth Campus Minister. Role Details : Full-Time | Hourly | Non-Exempt Role’s Requirements: Must be a Christian and a regular attender with Christ Chapel in good standing. Must be living an “above reproach” lifestyle as outlined in the Christ Chapel Employee Handbook. Must be committed to and supportive of the authority of the Elders, the pastoral staff and the philosophy and direction of the church both in public and in private. Must have a pleasant, adaptable, and innovative personality Must be a team player and willing to coordinate with our other front desk staff Role’s Responsibilities: Front Office Assistant – 8-10 hours a week Answer phone calls Assist weekly with entering connect cards and prayer requests Assist in managing workroom – supplies, ordering, copy machine, postage, declutter/ sanitize counters Sort mail and deliver packages to appropriate ministries Maintain mailboxes – update with staff departures and new staff Manage amazon ordering for front desk and orders for various ministries Order name tags for volunteers/ elders/ deacons Manage lost and found Assist the FW Campus Coordinator with projects (luncheons, events, printing) Keep staff kitchen fully stocked and brew coffee. At end of the day, restock and clean staff kitchen Family Ministry Assistant – 30-32- hours a week Assist with projects and tasks assigned by supervisor Help keep ministries forward thinking and being prepared with dates, events, deadlines, and planning. Provide administrative support to ministries. Which could include: Making room/ van/ event reservations Order catered meals for trainings, events, programs, etc. Event planning – being point person to delegate tasks and see that everything is ready in time for event. Making copies, preparing materials/ curriculums Keeping up with volunteer screening requirements and activating ministry staff to follow up as necessary Keeping up with calendar and our communications department deadlines, so ministries know when to submit information, plan, and be forward thinking. Assisting ministries with annual budget submission There will be some freedom to help with other things, personal passions/ gifts / interests that benefit the family ministries at the Fort Worth campus. May be required to attend ministry camps and retreats to provide staff support
