Farm Assistant

Farm Assistant Responsibilities Team member will be able to follow written and oral instructions.Will be able to complete tasks in a safe and timely manner.They will be able to proactively anticipate and react to problems during their work.Their main responsibilities are listed below.Other responsibilities may be assigned when need arises.Main Responsibilities Feeding livestock Working with and around large animals Cleaning barn and manure removal Basic maintenance work on equipment and buildings Fieldwork during cropping year i.e.planting, tillage, harvesting Basic computer skills to work with equipment and its software (training available) Qualifications Candidates will be self-starters with the ability to work by themselves and working cooperatively in a team as well.They will enjoy and be able to work at different tasks during the day completing routine tasks as well as addressing other work as need arises.They can lift up to 100 pounds and can use both feet and hands with the ability to stoop, crouch or climb when necessary to accomplish their tasks.They will also be able to work outside in all weather conditions through out the entire year.The team member will have basic mechanical skills to fix both equipment and buildings.The candidate will enjoy working with cows on the farm and handle them with care.They will also as a team member be respectful of all the other team members on the farm.Working with everyone so that the team can take care of both the cows and the land.Job Type:Full-time Pay:From $20.00 per hour Benefits:Health insurance Paid time off Retirement plan Schedule:10 hour shift 8 hour shift Weekend availability Experience:Farming:1 year (Preferred) Work Location:In person.
