POSITION Summary:The Farm Assistant will take direction from the Farm Manager and Farm Lead in the farming, landscaping and general property maintenance of the Clif Family Farm properties located in Pope Valley and Angwin.This candidate will be extremely flexible and enjoy a high change environment where priorities shift from day to day.Candidates, who have the ability to connect through positive and respectful interaction, inspire the success of those around them and create extraordinary experiences, solutions and ideas will be at the top of our list.RESPONSIBILITIES Take directions from Farm Manager and Farm Lead to ensure all farming and landscaping activities are completed in a timely manner.Soil preparation, composting, seed starting, transplanting, weeding, cultivating, watering and seed saving.Assist in spraying and fertilizing following CCOF guidelines and required safe pesticide handling practices.Plant a variety of vegetables, fruits, herbs and landscaping following CCOF organic growing practices.Assist with proper harvesting, handling and storing of high-quality produce grown for the Bruschetteria Food Truck.Maintain all farming related equipment, tools, and supplies, including tractor, ATV, and Mule.Assist with the care of the animals including feeding, watering and moving animals when scheduled.Notify manager of irrigation, pests, diseases or other issues at the farm.Mowing, blowing, mulching, and pruning in a timely manner for ornamental landscape upkeep.Maintain tidy workspaces around the farm, washing station, tool shed, food storage areas and breakroom.Attend all scheduled safety meetings.Assist others with additional projects and work-related errands as needed.SKILLS REQUIRED The ideal candidate will have:Interest in farming in a rural area.Proven success in a team-oriented environment.Positive interpersonal skills.Strong communication skills.Take ownership and responsibility for actions, behaviors and contributions.Must be able to work in a dynamic farm environment with typical physical demands of a farm labor position such as walking, standing, reaching, stooping, squatting, lifting up to 50 lbs repeatedly and working indoors and outdoors in cold, hot or wet conditions.Valid California Driver's License and a clean driving record.EDUCATION/TRAINING REQUIRED Bilingual - communicate effectively in both English and Spanish strongly preferred.Experience with a tractor and weed eater preferred.Experience growing fruits and vegetables.-SPANIH- RESUMEN DEL PUESTO:El asistente de granja recibir la direcci n del gerente de granja y el l der de granja en la agricultura, el paisajismo y el mantenimiento general de la propiedad de las propiedades de Clif Family Farm ubicadas en Pope Valley y Angwin.Este candidato ser extremadamente flexible y disfrutar de un entorno din mico donde las prioridades cambian d a a d a.Los candidatos con la capacidad de conectar mediante interacciones positivas y respetuosas, inspirar el xito de quienes los rodean y crear experiencias, soluciones e ideas extraordinarias ser n nuestra prioridad.RESPONSABILIDADES Siga las instrucciones del gerente y del l der de la granja para garantizar que todas las actividades agr colas y de paisajismo se completen de manera oportuna.Preparaci n del suelo, compostaje, siembra de semillas, trasplante, deshierbe, cultivo, riego y conservaci n de semillas.Ayudar a pulverizar y fertilizar siguiendo las pautas del CCOF y las pr cticas de manipulaci n segura de pesticidas requeridas.Plante una variedad de vegetales, frutas, hierbas y plantas arom ticas siguiendo las pr cticas de cultivo org nico de CCOF.Ayudar con la cosecha, el manejo y el almacenamiento adecuados de productos de alta calidad cultivados para el cami n de comida Bruschetteria.Mantener todos los equipos, herramientas y suministros relacionados con la agricultura, incluidos tractores, veh culos todo terreno y mulas.Ayudar con el cuidado de los animales, lo que incluye alimentarlos, beberlos y moverlos cuando est programado.Notificar al administrador sobre riego, plagas, enfermedades u otros problemas en la granja.Cortar, soplar, triturar y podar de manera oportuna para el mantenimiento del paisaje ornamental.Mantener ordenados los espacios de trabajo alrededor de la granja, la estaci n de lavado, el cobertizo de herramientas, las reas de almacenamiento de alimentos y la sala de descanso.Asistir a todas las reuniones de seguridad programadas.Ayudar a otros con proyectos adicionales y tareas relacionadas con el trabajo seg n sea necesario.HABILIDADES REQUERIDAS El candidato ideal tendr :Inter s por la agricultura en una zona rural. xito comprobado en un entorno orientado al trabajo en equipo.Habilidades interpersonales positivas.Fuertes habilidades de comunicaci n.Asumir la propiedad y la responsabilidad por las acciones, comportamientos y contribuciones.Debe poder trabajar en un entorno agr cola din mico con las demandas f sicas t picas de un puesto de trabajo agr cola, como c
