Job Summary The Farm Nursery Assistant supports daily operations of the farm nursery, including plant propagation, care, and maintenance.This role involves hands-on work with plants, soil, and equipment to ensure healthy plant growth and efficient nursery operations.Key Responsibilities Assist with planting, transplanting, potting, and propagating plants Water, fertilize, prune, and monitor plant health Prepare soil, growing media, trays, and containers Maintain nursery beds, greenhouses, and work areas Identify and report plant pests, diseases, or nutrient deficiencies Assist with harvesting, labeling, and organizing plants for sale or distribution Operate basic farm and nursery tools and equipment safely Follow farm safety, sanitation, and sustainability practices Support general farm tasks as needed, weed pulling, pruning, mowing, hedging.Qualifications & Skills Interest in agriculture, horticulture, or plant production Previous nursery or farm experience preferred but not required Basic knowledge of plants, soil, and watering practices is a plus Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team Strong attention to detail and care for plants Reliable, punctual, and willing to learn Physical Requirements Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Able to lift up to 25-50 lbs Comfortable standing, bending, kneeling, and performing repetitive tasks Work Schedule Days and hours, e.g., Monday-Friday, early mornings, weekends as needed Seasonal hours may vary depending on planting and harvest cycles Job Types:Full-time, Part-time Pay:$16.50 - $19.00 per hour Education:High school or equivalent (Preferred) Experience:Farming:1 year (Preferred) Ability to Commute:Hemet, CA 92543 (Preferred) Work Location:In person.
