Primo Restaurant is looking to fill a Farm Hand position on our farm team this coming season.This person will work closely with the Farm Manager and team, Chef Melissa Kelly and her staff.These are duties that may be included in an average season on the Primo Farm.Ultimately, each task list for the day will be decided by the Farm Manager, shifting as the seasons shift. Taking part in Animal Husbandry.Feeding and watering Pigs, Chickens and Layer Chickens, as well as any infrastructure needs that go along with the care of animals.Maintaining fences and electric, moving layer or broiler pens, basic carpentry when structures need quick repair.-Following seeding schedules:Field seeding, transplant seedlings, and micro seedlings.-Maintaining excellent harvest skills.From quality control, to proper utilization and timing of harvest.Keeping accurate records of produce harvested.-Maintaining the yards as well as keeping storage areas tidy, making sure walkable areas are all kept presentable, and aiding with any event set up that may occur on the fly.Ensuring vehicles are kept clean and fueled, propane tanks filled, firewood is ordered regularly.-It is imperative to work efficiently as a team, practicing time management and proper urgency throughout the day.Farm Restaurant experience preferred Must be willing to accomplish farm work at kitchen pace and within restaurant timelines (ie service, prep and line team time blocks for harvest and grounds preparation).Must be willing to work as a team, sometimes doing things outside of your job title to make the dream come true for the whole team.Critical thinking skills, problem solving with a solution based mindset, and ability to redirect seamlessly are essential in order to get all of our tasks done.Clear, calm, and succinct communication is crucial as there are many moving parts, keeping everyone on the same page for smooth operations.A positive and hospitable attitude contributes to the benefit and well-being of Primo as a whole.Pay based on experience.Please send cover letter, resume, and references to:info@primorestaurant.com Job Type:Full-time Pay:$20.00 - $24.00 per hour Expected hours:40 per week Work Location:In person.
