Job Summary Thirsty Fruit Farm is seeking a part-time (20 hours per week) farm assistant.We are looking for a hard-working, energetic, and detail-oriented person to join our team.The ideal candidate will have a passion for farming and a willingness to learn various aspects of farm operations.This role involves hands-on work with crops, and equipment, ensuring the smooth functioning of daily farm activities.Duties ? Assisting with farm infrastructure construction projects? Washing and packaging leafy greens and root vegetables? Harvesting and bunching herbs? Harvesting and packaging fruit and fruiting vegetable crops? Harvesting root vegetables? Maintaining accurate harvest records daily? Weeding the growing area? Trellising and pruning tomatoes? Packing retail and wholesale orders? Washing harvest and delivery totes? Renewing growing beds? Cleaning the wash/pack room Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas to promote safety and efficiency.Collaborate with team members to ensure all farm operations run smoothly.Requirements Experience or knowledge in farming or gardening is preferred.Familiarity with greenhouse practices is a plus.Passing a background check A willingness to work in all weather conditions (heat, rain, cold, etc) Ability to perform heavy lifting (50lbs) and physically demanding tasks throughout the day.Proficiency in using both power tools and hand tools safely.Strong work ethic with a commitment to maintaining high standards of care for crops.A genuine interest in agriculture and farming practices.Join our team today and contribute to the vital work of sustainable farming!
