Job Description
We are looking to fill an immediate opening for a full-time HVAC/R Technician supporting a federal facilities engineering program. The HVAC/R Technician will focus on operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing facility equipment across all systems. The selected candidate will demonstrate strong HVAC technical expertise and be multi-skilled in related trades including Electrical, Piping/Plumbing, and Central Utility Plant Operations to successfully complete daily and weekly work assignments. Responsibilities Perform maintenance and monitoring repairs to Mechanical, Plumbing, Structural, Furniture, Fire, Life Safety, and Control systems to ensure systems meet applicable standards Maintain responsibility for facility services, preventative maintenance, purchasing and inventory control, contracted maintenance, general maintenance, and technical proficiency Clean, inspect, calibrate, and change parts to maintain HVAC systems and associated equipment at optimum performance levels Utilize tools, materials, and test equipment for installation, maintenance, and repair of air conditioning/refrigeration HVAC control systems Install, maintain, and repair HVAC controls including pneumatic, electric, and electronic systems Troubleshoot and repair HVAC/BAS control issues including dampers, coils, HVAC steam-related controls, air handling equipment, and all valve types Adjust and calibrate pneumatic and electronic devices to properly balance HVAC systems Inspect and service controls on a scheduled basis Respond to service calls and troubleshoot system issues Prepare repair and installation estimates for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems and provide repair recommendations Install new heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for residential and commercial clients Replace existing HVAC systems components as needed Mount and connect compressors, condensers, and air handling units Install electrical wiring and controls and
