Fertilizer Equipment Operator

Overview:We are currently hiring a Fertilizer Production Equipment Operator for a growing agricultural manufacturing facility.This is a hands-on production role ideal for mechanically inclined individuals who enjoy working with equipment in an industrial and agricultural environment.This position is responsible for operating pellet mill machinery used to process compost into finished fertilizer products.The right candidate is safety-focused, dependable, and comfortable working around machinery, dust, and agricultural materials.Responsibilities:Operate and monitor pellet mill and related production equipment Perform routine cleaning and preventative maintenance Operate skid steer equipment as needed Assist with bagging and preparing finished product for shipment Monitor product quality and report any production issues Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Communicate equipment or safety concerns to leadership Qualifications:High school diploma or GED required Experience operating industrial or agricultural equipment preferred Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot minor issues Ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Comfortable working in environments with dust, noise, temperature changes, and agricultural conditions CDL or willingness to obtain is a plus Work Environment:This is a physically active role requiring standing, walking, lifting, and working in a production facility with exposure to heat, cold, dust, and agricultural materials.Job Type:Full-time Pay:$20.00 - $25.00 per hour Benefits:401(k) matching Dental insurance Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Referral program Vision insurance Shift availability:Day Shift (Preferred) Ability to Commute:Wolcott, NY 14590 (Preferred) Work Location:In person.
