Overview Join our dynamic construction team as a Fiberglass Insulation Installer and play a vital role in enhancing building energy efficiency and comfort! In this energetic position, you will be responsible for installing high-quality fiberglass insulation in residential, commercial, and industrial structures. Your expertise will help create sustainable, well-insulated environments that meet project specifications and safety standards. Duties Measure, cut, and fit fiberglass insulation materials according to blueprints and schematics to ensure precise installation. Use hand tools such as utility knives, tape measures, and caulking guns to secure insulation in walls, ceilings, attics, and crawl spaces. Operate power tools including staplers, drills, and saws to facilitate efficient installation processes. Read and interpret construction blueprints and schematics to accurately determine insulation placement and specifications. Collaborate with carpenters, masons, roofers, and other trades to coordinate installation efforts on multi-disciplinary projects. Apply caulking, sealing techniques, and trim carpentry skills to ensure insulation is properly sealed against air leaks for maximum efficiency. Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of debris safely while adhering to safety protocols. Experience Previous experience working on construction sites with familiarity in insulation installation or related trades such as carpentry or roofing. Skilled in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings relevant to insulation projects. Proficient with hand tools like utility knives, hammers, screwdrivers, and caulking guns; comfortable using power tools such as drills and saws. Knowledge of construction estimating processes and the ability to follow detailed instructions accurately. Mechanical knowledge related to HVAC systems or metal stud framing is a plus but not required. Experience with fabrication techniques or working with various building materials including stucco or concrete finishing is advantageous. Strong understanding of safety standards on construction sites including proper handling of materials like fiberglass insulation.
