Strong resiliency-focused engineering is essential to protecting Rotary and Mission Systems (RMS) platform/weapon systems from increasingly sophisticated cyber threats. THE WORK PLEASE NOTE THIS POSITION REQUIRES THE CANDIDATE TO EXPATRIATE TO THE UNITED KINGDOM FOR 3 OR MORE YEARS Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems is seeking a Sr. Systems Engineer in Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria, England. In this role you will permanently reside in United Kingdom as an Expatriate supporting COLUMBIA/Dreadnought SSBN construction for Strategic Systems Programs (SSP) Strategic Weapons Systems (SWS) SP24 Navigation subsystem. The ideal candidate will coordinate with U.S. home office engineering staff, engineering project managers, program management, and U.S. field engineers on next generation subsystem installation, advanced support of inboard and outboard maintenance, problem investigation and troubleshooting tasks to support the COLUMBIA/Dreadnought SSBN SWS Navigation subsystem Shipyard Integrated Test Program (SITP) lifecycle. This position may require travel to United States (may include: Lockheed Martin RMS Mitchel Field, NY, Groton, CT., Cape Canaveral Space Force Base, FL., Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay, GA., and Naval Submarine Base Bangor, WA). Assignment will otherwise be primarily located in Barrow-in-Furness, England.
