Description Title: Field Labor Superintendent Supervisor Department: Sales – Multi-Family Pay Status: Non-Exempt Reports To: Director of Multi-Family Job Summary Leading Multi-Family supplier of Millwork, Builders Hardware and Access control is seeking an experienced Manager of Project Field Operations. The individual is responsible for centralized oversight of both Field Operations and 1099 Labor Teams. This role will formalize the superintendent relationship, implement structured hiring and training pipelines, and drive operational performance. Essential Functions Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. Occasionally required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel and crouch. Frequently required to sit, bend, reach, and type. Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus. Occasionally required to lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds. Must be able to drive a vehicle and travel to jobsites and attend escalated meetings as required. Job Functions Organizational Leadership Provide centralized oversight of Field Superintendents and 1099 Labor teams. Establish clear accountability structure between material management and labor execution. Implement structured hiring, performance management, and development pipelines. Operational Alignment Help Formalize and enforce the Project Manager—Superintendent relationship model. Update and standardize operating procedures for Field Superintendents. Generate performance metrics that measure schedule adherence, rework reduction, quality control, and profitability. Identify operational gaps and implement corrective structural improvements. Risk and Financial Oversight Mitigate liability by ensuring proper subcontract scopes of work are executed. Ensure labor and material coordination protects contractual compliance. Collaborate with leadership on budgeting and cost control strategies. Talent Development Build structured onboarding and training programs for Field Superintendents. Identify underperforming personnel and implement corrective action or restructuring when necessary. Develop leadership training to elevate internal talent to management roles. Client and Executive Interface Represent Project Operations in senior leadership meetings. Support high-level client relationships and conflict resolution. Ensure internal problem-solving systems drive client retention. Continuous Improvement Lead lessons-learned implementation across projects. Drive transition from reactive problem management to proactive operational planning. Requirements JOB REQUIREMENTS Regular and predictable attendance, safely performing tasks and adherence to all safety policies and procedures are essential functions of this job. Strong understanding of Division 8 and 10 multifamily construction operations. Demonstrated leadership managing both field and project management teams. Ability to analyzed operational workflows and implement scalable systems. Strong financial acumen related to labor forecasting, margin protection, and risk mitigation. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate professionally with executive leadership, clients, general contractors, and internal team members. Must have a clean motor vehicle record with a valid driver's license EDUCATION Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required in Construction Management or related field is preferred. Experience in multifamily construction is required. 10+ years of experience overseeing Division 8 and 10 construction operations. 5+ years of experience managing multiple multifamily projects.
