Field Operations SpecialistCertiHarvest / PCMC Inc.Regional Travel + On-Vessel Field OperationsATTN all enterprising expeditionists and any other capable individuals: CertiHarvest is assembling a field team to help build the future infrastructure of the global seafood supply chain. This is not a normal career path. This is an opportunity to spend your time on working waterfronts, aboard vessels, inside seafood processing facilities, and in the middle of real-world operations while helping modernize one of the oldest industries on earth. We are looking for adaptable operators, technical problem-solvers, rugged individuals, and mission-driven people capable of working in unpredictable environments and earning trust in the real world. The mission is simple Capture truth at the harvest level and help move the seafood industry from declaration-based systems toward proof-based infrastructure. CertiHarvest captures verified first-mile harvest data directly at the point of harvest and carries that record through the supply chain using an append-only chain of custody system. Our focus is operational truth, not paperwork. This role is part deckhand, part field technician, part deployment operator, and part customer success representative. What You’ll Do Deploy and support CertiHarvest systems in real seafood operations Set up, test, charge, maintain, and troubleshoot field hardware Train fishermen, dock workers, processors, and operators on CertiHarvest systems Work aboard vessels, on docks, and inside processing facilities Observe workflows and identify operational friction points Help reduce onboarding and training burden for crews Collect field intelligence and operational feedback for product improvement Support pilot deployments and expansion efforts Assist with logistics, deployment preparation, inventory management, and labeling Travel to vessels, processors, distributors, and industry events as needed Represent CertiHarvest professionally in rugged field environments Ideal Background Strong candidates may come from: Commercial fishing or deckhand work Marine trades or marine electronics installation Seafood operations, dock operations, receiving, or processing Field service, refrigeration, diesel, or industrial equipment operations Aquaculture operations or environmental monitoring Offshore wind or maritime technical work Fisheries observation or compliance operations Military, Coast Guard, Navy engineering, logistics, or communications roles Industrial IoT, telemetry, or field hardware deployment Required Valid driver’s license Willingness to travel frequently Comfort working in wet, cold, physical, and unpredictable environments Mechanical aptitude and technical curiosity Ability to troubleshoot calmly under pressure Strong communication skills with both waterfront operators and internal teams Self-directed, reliable, adaptable, and resourceful Bonus Experience Commercial fishing or offshore experience Electronics, IoT, or sensor hardware familiarity Seafood processing or distribution experience Startup deployment or expedition-style operations Experience training operators in real-world environments Compensation Strong compensation for the right operator. Compensation will reflect real-world capability, operational reliability, technical competence, and field experience.
