As the company scales, it is building a team that removes operational bottlenecks and allows leadership to focus on design, client relationships, and growth. Position Overview Gecko Builds is seeking a highly proactive Operations and Field Project Coordinator to support day-to-day project execution across multiple job sites. This role is field-oriented and execution-focused, with responsibility for keeping projects moving, crews supported, and logistics handled without delays. The position requires daily presence in the field and direct coordination with crews, vendors, and leadership. The primary objective of this role is to ensure that projects progress efficiently without requiring constant intervention from leadership. This is a contract to hire position with the possibility of converting to full time after 90 days. Core Responsibilities Field Operations and Site Support ● Conduct daily visits to active job sites ● Ensure crews are properly set up and working efficiently ● Identify and resolve issues that may slow progress ● Maintain site organization and readiness ● Confirm crews have clear direction ● Ensure upcoming work is prepared in advance ● Provide light, non-skilled support such as material staging and site organization Material and Logistics Management ● Manage all material pickups and deliveries ● Handle supply runs as needed ● Ensure job sites are consistently stocked with required materials ● Coordinate with suppliers to confirm availability ● Prevent delays related to missing or late materials ● Oversee movement of tools, equipment, and fabricated items between shop and job sites Project Coordination ● Track immediate next steps for each active project ● Ensure continuity of work across all jobs ● Coordinate scheduling of subcontractors and vendors ● Monitor material needs and ensure timely ordering ● Communicate with subcontractors, vendors, and internal team members ● Identify potential delays early and escalate as needed ● Lead weekly project management calls to review progress across all active job sites ● Facilitate discussion of upcoming work, sequencing, and priorities for the following weeks ● Maintain clear visibility into what is happening next on each project and ensure alignment across all stakeholders Quality Control Support ● Observe work in progress to ensure alignment with project expectations ● Communicate quality concerns to leadership ● Confirm crews understand instructions and project requirements ● Assist in minimizing rework through proactive oversight Communication and Coordination ● Act as a central coordination point between field crews, shop, and leadership ● Provide clear updates on project status ● Communicate material needs ● Report issues affecting progress in a timely manner Qualifications ● Strong organizational and problem-solving skills ● Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment ● Comfortable working in the field across multiple job sites ● Clear and effective communication skills ● Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing conditions ● Familiarity with construction workflows preferred ● Valid driver’s license required Pay: $74,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year Application Question(s) Do you understand that this role will require that you travel to multiple job sites within Brooklyn?
