Job Description
Role Overview Tech Plus Communications is currently onboarding independent 1099 contractors to support high-volume Spectrum projects. We are looking for field-ready specialists to manage residential and commercial installations, service rescues, and trouble calls. While this is a 1099 independent contractor position, it is a full-time commitment , and we do not hire through LLCs for this role. Service Areas We are actively recruiting for technicians to cover the following regions: North Carolina: Charlotte (and surrounding metro areas), Gastonia, and Hickory. Tennessee: Clarksville. Pay Structure (Per Task) Contractors are paid per completed work order based on our comprehensive rate sheet. Current payouts include: Residential Single Play (RSP): $52.56 Residential Double Play (RDP): $65.47 Residential Triple Play (RTP): $75.01 Residential Trouble Call (RTC): $33.42 Rescue Single Play (RRTCSP): $44.07 Commercial Single Play (CSP): $68.27 Commercial Double Play (CDP): $93.06 Earnings & Training Daily Earnings: Technicians typically average $200–$300+ per day depending on volume and efficiency. High Performers: Top-tier technicians can exceed $1,600+ per week . Onboarding: We provide a minimum 2-week field-readiness program. Training Pay: Training is compensated at a flat rate of $400 per week . Schedule & Availability Commitment: This is a full-time 1099 position. Hours: Typical work availability is between 8:00 AM and 7:00 PM . Weekend Requirement: Technicians must be available to work at least one weekend day (Saturday or Sunday). Contractor Requirements Status: Must operate as a 1099 Independent Contractor ; no LLCs. Vehicle: Must own a reliable Truck, SUV, or Minivan capable of transporting extension ladders (Sedans are not suitable). Tools: Must possess basic hand tools required for telecommunications work. Smartphone: You must provide your own smartphone for work orders; no work phone is provided. Physicality: Must be comfortable climbing ladders (up to 28ft), working in crawl spaces, and working outdoors. Equipment Provided Tech Plus provides the heavy equipment needed for success: Extension ladders and safety harnesses Hard hats, safety cones, and vehicle magnets Meter with MP60 Pay: $250.00 - $300.00 per day Benefits On-the-job training Paid training Professional development assistance Application Question(s): Do you have a personal Truck, SUV, or Minivan suitable for carrying ladders?
