Title:Field Service Technician - MMIC/VERDA Water Quality System Location:North/South Carolina Reports To:Installation Project Manager/Region Service Manager Department:Service Summary:The Field Service Technician - MMIC/VERDA Water Quality System is responsible for delivering field services to the MMIC mobile fleet and VERDA Water Quality Systems to our customers.The primary focus is to service the MMIC Mobile Fleet, by executing commissioning services, decommissioning services, and other maintenance requirements along with the organization of service and repairs.On the VERDA Water Quality System side, provide preventive maintenance services, Water Quality System Disinfection and Water Quality Testing and Sampling.What you Bring Required Qualifications:Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills to interface with internal and external customers and subcontractors.The employee will possess previous experience with water quality testing and services, customer service and have technical ability.The employee must be able to work independently and be self-motivated. Associates degree, military training or equivalent work experience. Minimum of 3 years of related technical experience is desirable. Proficiency in the use and application of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat is required. Ability to understand the technical aspects of VERDA Water Quality Systems and the MMIC Mobile trailer fleet. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings that specify the equipment specifications and instructions for use. Ability to follow the procedures necessary to safely and properly perform services. Ability to accurately articulate messaging to the customer verbally, or via email. Highly organized, task oriented, self-motivated and energetic. Must be able to lift 75lbs Must exhibit ethical work behavior. Must be able to travel to customer sites throughout the United States. Must be able to be credentialed when entering customer sites. Must be able to crawl, sit, stand, work in confined spaces and on ladders. Must have a valid driver's license Execute service activities for MMIC/VERDA Water Quality Systems. Obtain a complete understanding of RO/DI Water Quality Systems Understand ST108 guidelines and TIR34 recommendations for water quality. Maintain and manage tool inventories used for water quality testing services and mobile fleet services. Provide water testing services including Preventive Maintenance services, System Disinfections, and Water Testing and Sampling services as required. Complete and submit all documentation requirements in a complete, timely and accurate manner.Such as Field Service Reports, Expense reports, PM and Services checklists, and Timesheets. Perform mobile fleet service and water quality testing and maintenance services with the customer. Perform all other duties as assigned by the Manager. Provide technical support to end users and service providers. Order parts necessary for quick resolution to problems. Manage inventory assigned and applied to accounts. Travel to customer sites which could exceed 50% travel. Comfortable with travel via airplane. Follow all procedures for service call execution. Communicate as found data and as left information to key stake holders. Effective communication with all parties verbal and written communication is paramount. Manage and work with sub-contractors, engineers, and facilities maintenance personnel. Work with engineering, production, sales with technical requirements and requests.Physical Environment & Work Conditions The physical and environmental requirements below represent the essential functions of the position and can be performed with or without reasonable accommodation: The regular schedule typically follows an 8-hour workday, Monday through Friday, with general availability expected between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM Eastern.Occasional scheduling flexibility may be required to meet customer needs. Candidates living outside of Vermont will work remotely and are expected to maintain a professional home office environment that supports video conferencing, focused work, and the secure handling of customer information.MMIC provides all employees with a company-issued computer and mobile phone for business use. Field work requires regular travel to customer sites, a minimum of 50% of the time. The role may involve moving safely within mechanical rooms, utility areas, and healthcare environments. The role may require walking, standing, climbing stairs or ladders, bending, kneeling, and reaching to access equipment and perform sampling activities. The role may require lifting, carrying, or moving sampling equipment or materials (typically up to 75lbs) Office-based work may involve extended periods of sitting, computer use, and detailed data review.
