Job Description
Job Summary Support the mission of Oak Hill United Methodist Church through financial administration and supporting the business operations of the church. Responsibilities Process all income, deposits, and payroll. Ensure timely and accurate submission of all bills to accounts payable provider. Resolve issues with vendor. Serve as primary point of contact for church finances, including giving, reimbursements, accounts payable, and financial vendors. Support Finance, Trustees, and Endowment Committees in development of budgets, cash flow planning, asset management, debt management, and other tasks. Produce and/or distribute all required reports, including financial reports, giving statements, employee tax forms, etc. Provide clergy, staff, and ministry leaders with financial information and analysis. Recognize financial trends and changes in giving patterns. Notify Pastor in Charge and/or appropriate leaders. Recruit, train, and schedule Finance Office volunteers Minimum Qualifications: 3-5 years’ experience bookkeeping or accounting. High School diploma. Ability to learn church software for membership and giving information. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, and give clear direction. Strong organizational skills, with a personal attention to detail. Excellent computer and word processing skills. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university. Experience working in a church or non-profit ministry. Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour Benefits Flexible schedule Paid time off Paid training Retirement plan Work Location: In person
