This strategic finance leadership role offers the opportunity to influence the direction and growth of a multi-billion-dollar wealth and retirement business. You will serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership, helping shape financial strategy, optimize business performance, and support long-term profitability across annuity and retirement-focused product lines. The position combines high-level financial planning, cross-functional collaboration, and leadership development within a dynamic financial services environment. Ideal for a seasoned finance professional, this role provides broad exposure to strategic initiatives, business transformation efforts, and enterprise-level decision-making. You’ll work alongside senior stakeholders to drive operational excellence, strengthen financial discipline, and contribute to innovative financial solutions that support customers’ long-term financial well-being. \n Accountabilities: Serve as the primary finance business partner to senior leadership within the wealth and annuity segment, contributing financial expertise to strategic and operational planning. Provide financial guidance and insights related to product development, profitability, pricing strategies, mergers and acquisitions, and transformation initiatives. Drive strong financial performance management practices by collaborating with finance teams and business leaders to support data-driven decision-making. Lead and coordinate cross-functional finance projects, ensuring alignment, transparency, and effective communication across departments. Develop and maintain business and financial models that support forecasting, planning, and long-term strategic growth objectives. Analyze financial performance variances, identify business risks and opportunities, and recommend corrective actions to leadership teams. Build, mentor, and lead high-performing finance teams while fostering talent development and organizational growth. Support initiatives that improve financial literacy and strengthen financial management capabilities across the assigned business segment. Partner with internal and external stakeholders to identify opportunities for operational improvement and sustainable profitability growth. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related financial discipline required; MBA or advanced business education preferred. Professional certifications such as CPA, CMA, CLU, ChFC, CCUE, or FSA strongly valued. 12+ years of experience in financial management within the financial services industry, including responsibility for financial operations and strategic business support. 3–5 years of experience advising executive leadership and influencing key business decisions. 4–5 years of leadership experience managing teams or directing cross-functional resources. Strong understanding of financial modeling, product pricing, profitability analysis, revenue models, and performance management frameworks. Prior experience within annuity or retirement products environments is highly preferred. Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at executive levels. Proven leadership capabilities with strong analytical thinking, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills. Ability to lead initiatives in a collaborative, fast-paced, and evolving business environment.
