Finance Operations Assistant Department: Finance Status: Full-Time, Non-Exempt Reports To: Controller Location Requirement: This position is fully in-office, Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM. We are seeking candidates who are specifically looking for an on-site role and value being present, engaged, and contributing to a team environment each day. The Finance Operations Assistant plays a key role in supporting financial operations through claims processing, provider communication, and accurate recordkeeping. This role requires someone who can consistently manage a high volume of tasks with accuracy, follow-through, and a strong sense of ownership. Key Responsibilities Respond to billing inquiries from healthcare providers via phone and email in a professional and timely manner Open, sort, and distribute incoming mail daily Scan and digitally file a high volume of healthcare claims with accuracy and efficiency Review checks and Explanation of Payments (EOPs), and prepare outgoing mail Maintain and organize digital files and accurate patient records Enter claims data into systems and perform audits to ensure accuracy Apply HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy and ensure compliance Provide administrative support to the Finance team and assist cross-functionally as needed What We’re Looking For We are seeking candidates who demonstrate: Strong work ethic and reliability — consistently shows up, stays focused, and follows through Accountability and ownership — takes responsibility for completing tasks accurately and on time Attention to detail — able to manage repetitive, high-volume work with precision Comfort in a structured, in-office environment — enjoys working on-site with a team and being fully engaged during the workday Professional communication skills — especially when handling billing or payment-related inquiries Organization and efficiency in managing multiple priorities Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Medical billing or healthcare administrative experience preferred Experience with data entry and high-volume processing Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word Ability to quickly learn new systems and processes Ability to work both independently and collaboratively Work Environment This position operates in a professional office setting using standard office equipment. The role is primarily sedentary but may require occasional movement throughout the office.
