Whether a system conversion has been miscalculated or they simply don't have the knowledge in the right area of accounting, we provide the answers to the big questions nobody else can.The opportunityOur Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS) team is growing exponentially, and as a Senior Manager you'll play a key role in that growth. Working across all industries, you'll develop your career by communicating creative, strategic goals both internally and externally. It's all about listening to and understanding our clients to give them a truly exceptional experience in a field where there really are no off-the-shelf recommendations.Your key responsibilitiesThe nature of this role means no two projects will be the same. That means you'll need to think on your feet and challenge existing practices to develop answers to complex issues. You'll also be collaborating with colleagues across multiple service lines, so we'll look to you to build relationships and identify opportunities for our clients to benefit from our knowledge in other areas. Regular travel will be required as you will be meeting with key clients, some of those being the most respected in their fields.Skills and attributes for successConsulting with clients on complex accounting issuesCollaborating with partners, senior managers and clients to influence strategy, balancing risk and client expectationsEnsuring our Engagement team thoroughly understands our clients' unique needs, ambitions and expectationsBuilding relationships with colleagues across multiple service lines to provide seamless integrated serviceManaging performance and identifying opportunities to improve our products and processesTo qualify for the role you must haveA bachelor's degree in an accounting, finance or business discipline, and 8+ years of experience as an auditor in a public accounting firmUS CPA licensure in your work stateStrong technical writing skills and advanced risk management knowledgeA deep understanding of the marketplace, as well as commonly used terminology, processes and toolsA proven record of excellence when managing, mentoring and improving a team of high-performing colleaguesThe confidence to research and resolve emerging client issues, including regulations, industry practices and new technologiesIdeally you'll also haveA master's degree in accounting, finance or business disciplineExternal audit experience at a Big 4 accounting firmWhat we look forWe're interested in versatile people with the ability to take on new responsibilities and listen to clients to get things done. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $146,700 to $335,100. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $176,000 to $380,800. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.Join us in our team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.Under our flexible vacation policy, you'll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances.
