OverviewJoin our team as a Financial Aid Assistant, where your enthusiasm and precision will help empower students to achieve their educational goals.In this role, you will support the administration of financial aid programs at our Postsecondary Technical Education Centers, ensuring accurate processing and clear communication with students and staff alike.Your proactive approach will contribute to a seamless financial aid experience, fostering trust and confidence in our institution's commitment to student success.This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop expertise in education administration and financial services while making a meaningful impact on students' lives.Responsibilities Assist in the processing of financial aid applications, including verifying documentation and ensuring compliance with institutional policies Utilize systems to manage student records, track awards, and update financial aid information accurately Conduct financial analysis to determine eligibility, award amounts, and repayment options for various aid programs Support loan processing activities by reviewing applications, preparing documentation, and coordinating with lenders or financial institutions Communicate clearly with students regarding their aid status, required documentation, and next steps through phone calls, emails, or in-person consultations Collaborate with education administration teams to ensure smooth workflow and adherence to federal and state regulations Maintain detailed records of all transactions, correspondence, and audits related to financial aid activities Other duties as assigned Skills Strong accounting skills for managing budgets, awards, and reconciliation processes Proficiency with methods to evaluate student eligibility and funding needs Knowledge of loan processing procedures and federal/state financial aid regulations Excellent communication skills to effectively explain complex information to students and colleagues Solid math skills for calculating award amounts, repayment schedules, and budget forecasts Job Type:Full-time Pay:From $42,961.00 per year Benefits:403(b) Dental insurance Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Work Location:In person.
