This role is for one of our clients Compensation: $100-$120 per hour (20 hours per week commitment) Job Type: Part-time / Contract Location: US, UK, Canada, France, Portugal (remote) We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytically driven Financial Reporting AI Expert to join our finance and transformation team. This role blends strong accounting fundamentals with emerging AI capabilities to enhance the efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of financial reporting processes. The ideal candidate will play a key role in modernizing traditional accounting workflows, particularly across month-end and year-end close cycles, while ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards. Requirements Key Responsibilities: You will actively manage and optimize the month-end and year-end close processes, leveraging AI-driven tools and automation techniques to reduce cycle time and improve accuracy. This includes coordinating cross-functional inputs, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing intelligent solutions to streamline reconciliations, variance analysis, and reporting timelines. A core part of your role will involve preparing, reviewing, and validating journal entries, accruals, and adjustments. You will ensure completeness and accuracy by applying accounting principles alongside automated checks and anomaly detection models. You will also design and refine workflows that enable consistent and audit-ready financial data. You will be responsible for the preparation and review of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Using AI-enabled tools, you will enhance reporting quality through automated variance analysis, trend identification, and predictive insights. You will collaborate with stakeholders to ensure that reports are clear, compliant, and aligned with
