Server Job Description:Servers must be friendly, outgoing and possess good communication skills.A member's dining experience should be enjoyable and you play a major role in the overall picture.Always serve according to the club's service procedures.Your individual personality should shine through - use it to your advantage.You should be organized, able to think and act quickly and effectively while retaining self-composure.Be member sensitive and possess a sense of timing.Take pride in personal appearance and show dedication to your job.Display integrity and honesty in all aspects of your employment.Server Job Duties and Responsibilities:Greet members and their guests as they arrive and inquire into their seating preferences Gauge members' seating needs (by counting number of people in a party) and lead them to appropriate tables Assist members in seating and provide them with menus Provide members and their guests with information on seasonal menu items and Chef specials Leave members for a little time to give them a chance to choose from the menu but keep an eye out for member calls Answer questions regarding menu items and ingredients and provide information regarding diet items and specials Suggest appropriate wines and other beverages to go along with members' meals Maintain knowledge of any items that the kitchen may be running out of Take orders and repeat taken orders to ensure accuracy Inform members about the time it will take for their orders to be prepared and served Relay orders to the kitchen and ensure that they are prepared according to recipe Check prepared orders for accuracy and portion and ensure that they are served in a time efficient manner Prepare drinks according to members' instructions and serve them in a timely manner Ask members if they would like anything else with their orders Make sure that tables are cleared, cleaned and bussed properly before the next members arrive.Other duties as assigned by management Server Qualifications:Thorough knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and cooking techniques.Ability to take direction and work in a team environment.Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure.Problem solver, self-motivated, and organized.At least 1 year of server experience in a fine dining establishment (required) Food Handler Certified (required) TABC Certified (required) Must be willing to work split shifts 5 days a week to meet full-time hours.(approximate lunch shift 10AM-2PM.approximate dinner shift 5PM-10PM) Job Type:Part-time Experience:Server:1 year (Preferred) Fine Dining:1 year (Preferred) Work authorization:United States (Preferred) Job Type:Part-time Pay:$2,500.00 - $5,000.00 per month Work Location:In person.
