Fire Alarm Technician

Position: Fire Alarm Technician Location: Marietta, GA Employment Type: Permanent / Full-Time Pay: Starting at $50-$60/hr/$100k-$125k/y (Open to discuss) About the Role We are seeking a skilled Fire Alarm Technician to install, inspect, program, test, and maintain fire alarm systems in commercial and residential settings. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional with strong troubleshooting skills and a solid understanding of fire alarm systems and safety standards. Key Responsibilities Install, program, and update fire alarm systems in commercial buildings Perform inspections, testing, and preventative maintenance on fire alarm systems Troubleshoot and repair existing alarm systems Ensure systems are installed and functioning in compliance with applicable codes and standards Complete detailed inspection and service reports, documenting deficiencies and corrective actions Respond to emergency service calls as required Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment Qualifications Required High school diploma or GED NICET Certification – Level II or higher (Mandatory Requirement) Experience working with commercial and/or residential fire alarm systems Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Valid driver’s license Preferred Knowledge of NFPA standards (including NFPA 70 and NFPA 72) Experience with inspections, programming, and system commissioning Physical Requirements Ability to climb ladders and stairs frequently Ability to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50 lbs Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 4 hours at a time) Why Join?
