Job Description
OverviewWe are seeking a skilled Fire Extinguisher Technician to join our team.This role involves installing, inspecting, maintaining, and repairing portable fire extinguishers to ensure safety and compliance across various facilities.The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, mechanical aptitude, and experience with fire extinguisher types and inspection/testing methods.This full-time position offers opportunities for professional growth within a dynamic safety-focused environment.Duties Install, service, and repair fire extinguishers and other emergency equipment in accordance with industry standards and safety regulations Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of fire extinguishers and related equipment Perform inspections to verify compliance with codes such as NFPA and local regulations Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to complete service tasks efficiently Document all service activities accurately in company systems for record-keeping and compliance purposes Collaborate with clients to provide system demonstrations and explain system features or upgrades Skills Proficiency in blueprint reading, schematics, and system design principles Mechanical knowledge related to construction inspection, installation, and layout of hand portable fire extinguishers Familiarity with the various types of fire extinguishers, power tools, hand tools Field service experience in fire suppression or alarm systems is highly desirable Strong understanding of inspection procedures Ability to interpret schematics related to suppression systems Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex system issues Effective communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration This position is integral to maintaining safety standards across client facilities by ensuring fire suppression systems are fully operational.Candidates should be detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and eager to contribute to a critical safety function within the industry.Pay:$20.00 - $28.00 per hour Benefits:401(k) Dental insurance Health insurance Opportunities for advancement Paid time off Work Location:In person.
