OverviewJoin our dynamic team as a Fire Protection Design Assistant and play a vital role in ensuring safety and compliance across construction projects.This energetic position offers the opportunity to collaborate with experienced fire protection engineers, contribute to innovative system designs, and support the implementation of fire safety solutions.As a key member of our team, you will gain hands-on experience in system design, construction inspection, and sales processes related to fire alarm and sprinkler systems, all while advancing your career in a fast-paced environment dedicated to safety excellence.Duties Assist professional designers in developing detailed fire protection system designs, including fire sprinkler fitting and alarm systems, ensuring they meet all safety codes and project specifications Support the review of construction plans and specifications for compliance with fire safety standards Aid in coordinating with contractors and vendors during installation, testing, and commissioning phases of fire protection systems Maintain accurate documentation of design revisions, inspection reports, and project progress updates Participate in meetings to provide technical insights and ensure project milestones are met efficiently Experience Basic understanding of security systems, alarm systems, and system design principles related to fire protection is preferred Prior experience or familiarity with construction inspection processes or fire sprinkler fitting is advantageous Knowledge of fire alarm systems, including sales or installation experience, is a plus Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for documentation and compliance records Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members, clients, and vendors Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and construction documents effectively Enthusiasm for learning about new technologies in fire safety and system integration Knowledge of engineering software such as AutoCad is a benefit Job Type:Full-time Pay:$20.00 - $22.00 per hour Expected hours:40 per week Benefits:Dental insurance Health insurance On-the-job training Paid time off Vision insurance Work Location:In person.
