About The Role Our client is a well-established contractor specializing in comprehensive fire protection and life safety solutions. They deliver high-quality services across residential, commercial, and industrial projects, with a strong focus on safety, compliance, and craftsmanship. Role Description This is a full-time Hybrid opportunity for a Fire Sprinkler Design Engineer , based in the Greater Chicago Area with flexibility for remote work. The Engineer Will Be Responsible For Designing fire sprinkler systems Preparing detailed drawings using HydraCAD and/or Revit Ensuring compliance with applicable safety codes and standards Collaborating with internal teams to meet project timelines Participating in BIM coordination and model updates Reviewing system designs for efficiency, accuracy, and safety Key Responsibilities Develop detailed fire sprinkler system layouts and designs Ensure compliance with NFPA standards, including NFPA 13 Work with tools such as HydraCAD, Revit, AutoSPRINK, and Navisworks Coordinate with BIM teams for model integration and clash detection Review and optimize system designs for performance and cost-efficiency Support project delivery from concept through completion Qualifications Experience in fire sprinkler system design or related engineering field Strong knowledge of NFPA codes and fire protection standards Proficiency in design tools such as HydraCAD, Revit, AutoSPRINK, and Navisworks Experience with BIM coordination and model revisions Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team environment Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Fire Protection Engineering (or equivalent experience) NICET certification in fire sprinkler design is a strong plus What Our Client Offers 401(k) with company match Competitive PTO package Medical and dental (PPO) coverage Career growth and advancement opportunities Ongoing training and certification support Collaborative, team-oriented work environment
