Job Description We are looking for an experienced Traveling Fire Sprinkler Technician who wants independence, steady work, excellent benefits, and the opportunity to grow with a fast-moving company. This position is ideal for someone based in the Maryland/DC region who is comfortable traveling extensively for projects throughout surrounding states and regions. Overnight travel will regularly be required. This is not a micromanaged position. We are looking for a technician who can take ownership of projects, manage their schedule professionally, solve problems independently, and operate confidently in the field with minimal supervision. The successful candidate will perform inspections, testing, service, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of fire sprinkler systems at various customer sites while representing the company professionally at all times. Pay & Benefits $40–$55/hour based on experience and certifications Company vehicle and tools provided 100% employer-paid health insurance premiums for employees 50% employer-paid family health insurance coverage Daily food stipend/per diem during travel All travel expenses covered by the company Ongoing training and support Opportunities for advancement Steady, year-round work Responsibilities Perform inspections, testing, service, maintenance, and repairs on fire sprinkler systems Troubleshoot and diagnose sprinkler system deficiencies and operational issues Conduct annual, quarterly, and monthly inspections in accordance with NFPA standards Complete inspection reports and required documentation accurately and on time Independently manage assigned projects from start to finish Communicate professionally with customers, contractors, and office staff Ensure all work complies with applicable fire codes, NFPA standards, and safety regulations Travel regularly to customer sites, including overnight stays as required Maintain company vehicle, tools, and inventory responsibly Identify deficiencies and recommend corrective actions to customers Qualifications Experience working with fire sprinkler systems required Knowledge of wet, dry, pre-action, and standpipe systems preferred Experience performing inspections and service in accordance with NFPA 25 considered a strong asset NICET certifications are considered a strong asset Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities Ability to work independently and remain organized in the field Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and positive attitude Comfortable managing schedules and priorities without constant supervision Excellent communication and customer service skills Valid driver’s license with clean driving record Willingness to travel frequently and stay overnight as required What We’re Looking For We want someone who Takes pride in doing quality work Is dependable, motivated, and resourceful Can handle responsibility and make decisions independently Thrives in a fast-paced environment Is willing to go above and beyond to get the job done right Wants the freedom to work independently without being micromanaged Apply today and join a company that values hard work, independence, and professionalism Job Type: Full-time Pay: $40.00 - $60.00 per hour Benefits Dental insurance Health insurance On-the-job training Paid time off Professional development assistance Referral program Relocation assistance Vision insurance Work Location: On the road
