Job OverviewWe are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Fireplace Installer to join our team.The ideal candidate will have a strong background in installation and construction, with a focus on delivering high-quality workmanship.As a Fireplace Installer, you will be responsible for the installation of various types of fireplaces, ensuring that all work meets safety standards and client specifications.This role requires a combination of technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints.Install wood, gas, and pellet burning fireplaces, stoves, isokerns and inserts in residential and new construction homes in accordance with manufacturer's installation instructions and Fireside Standard Installation Guidelines.Responsibilities Unload and load materials and equipment on/off trucks and in/out of job sites on a regular basis.These products include but are not limited to the following:Pellet, gas, and wood freestanding and insert units.A fireplace installer will be responsible for the successful installation and servicing of fireplaces in new and existing homes.Self -manage the following on all job sites:Installation, maintenance and testing tasks as required.Install gas and wood burning hearth appliances (this may be retrofitting an existing fireplace or adding a fireplace to an existing or new home) Willingness to work on roofs occasionally.Safely climb on roofs and work off ladders.Read drawings and manufacturer instructions regarding the proper installation.Build structures using wood and steel studs' specifications.Use multiple power and hand tools proficiently.Install metal fireplace vent materials to manufacturers specifications.Understand and work with the building materials and construction of a home.Maintain a clean and organized work vehicle and job site Work with gas lines and understand electrical at a basic level.Safely move and install fireplaces over 100 lbs.Possess ability to troubleshoot, test, repair, and service fireplace equipment and demonstrate expert understanding of clearance and proper installation techniques, standards, and requirements.Diagnose errors or technical problems with products in an efficient and timely manner to insure One Visit One Fix goal:Ensuring that the installed product is fully functional.Must be able to discern when to use mechanical assistance when physical methods are not practical or request and schedule assistance through the Scheduler and/or Division Manager Possess a complete understanding of all manufacturers' installation requirements and venting clearances.Always follow company field procedures and protocols.Provide daily detailed Installation reports, including job photos for accuracy.Always maintain parts and equipment at warehouse and in trucks.Communicate parts requirements in a timely manner to Division Manager to ensure order fulfillment.Build positive relationships with customers.Always operate company vehicle in a safe manner.Technicians must not use handheld cell phones at any time.Pull over to make calls.Track and organize vehicle maintenance as needed and required.Required Skills / Abilities Proven experience in installation or construction roles is preferred.Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in the installation process.Experience in reading schematics and blueprints is essential.Skills in caulking, flooring installation, tile laying, masonry, trim carpentry, roof work, and hardscape are highly desirable.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are crucial for success in this role. Must have valid state (where working) driver's license.Must have a clean DMV record with a maximum of 1 point on record.Ability to communicate (written and verbal) effectively and clearly.Basic math skills required:add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately.Measurements:Ability to read a tape measure and take accurate and correct measurements.Must be able to lift 50-100 pounds regularly.Knowledge of safety standards and fire/building code for proper installation is desired.Must attend company safety and policy training.Experience using hand tools in a safe and efficient manner.Communicate in detail with Schedulers and/or Division Managers.Ability to work independently as well as part of a team to achieve project goals.Safety Must attend all safety meetings and tailgate meetings.Use and wear the proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and wear the proper safety shoes.Report witnessed unsafe practices or other safety obstructions to Division Manager.Always adhere to company vehicle policies and traffic laws.Conduct vehicle sight inspection and complete vehicle checklist to ensure the safe operation of company vehicles.Education / Experience High School diploma or equivalent.A minimum of 1 years' experience in fireplace installation and/or prior experience with HVAC, plumbing, or electrical will be a big plus.Work Conditions The work environment characteristics described here are re
