Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Fish Cutter to join our vibrant food production team.In this role, you will be responsible for expertly preparing fish and seafood products, ensuring they meet high standards of quality, freshness, and safety.Your work will directly contribute to delivering top-notch seafood offerings to our customers, whether in a retail or food service setting.This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop culinary skills and gain valuable experience in the food industry while working in a fast-paced, energetic environment.You can work with us as either a contractor (1099) or employee (W-2)--we're open to what makes the most sense for the right person.Responsibilities Break down whole fish into precise, high-quality cuts Grade fish to meet chef and customer specifications Maintain strict food safety and sanitation standards Properly handle, store, and pack seafood to maintain freshness and quality Assist with packing and shipping orders according to company standards Keep workstations clean, organized, and efficient Minimize waste and assist with inventory tracking Work independently and with a team Perform physically demanding work, including heavy lifting Skills Proven experience in food production, food preparation, or kitchen operations within the food industry Strong knife skills with the ability to perform precise fish cutting techniques Knowledge of food safety protocols and proper handling procedures Excellent attention to detail to ensure high-quality product presentation Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards Good communication skills for collaborating with team members and supporting customer service when required Prior restaurant or culinary experience is a plus, demonstrating familiarity with food handling and preparation processes Compensation & Perks $20-$25/hour depending on experience Contractor or employee structure available Flexible scheduling Paid training Growth opportunities with a fast-growing local company Why This Role Matters You'll play a key role in delivering the highest-quality local fish from Hawai?i's fishermen to top chefs and families--while supporting a more sustainable, community-driven food system.Pay:$20.00 - $25.00 per hour Benefits:Employee discount Flexible schedule Opportunities for advancement Paid training Work Location:In person.
