Bread Route Delivery Driver / Independent Route Operator Position Overview We are seeking a reliable, self-motivated individual to take ownership of an established bread route.This is more than just a delivery job--it's a hands-on, entrepreneurial opportunity where you manage your own territory like your own small business.You'll handle everything from inventory and ordering to customer relationships and merchandising, with the freedom to work independently outdoors and the potential to optimize your route for greater efficiency and work-life balance.The right person thrives on autonomy, takes pride in their work, and enjoys building strong partnerships with local grocery stores and restaurants.This role rewards initiative:an efficient, detail-oriented operator can streamline operations and potentially reduce weekly hours while maintaining strong performance and earnings.Key Responsibilities Arrive early each morning at the warehouse to receive and break down the incoming load, sorting products accurately for individual grocery stores and restaurant accounts.Verify incoming inventory against orders using handheld scanning devices and paper documentation, completing all required paperwork promptly and accurately.Manage inventory levels meticulously, including proper rotation (FIFO - first in, first out) to ensure product freshness.Drive a 20-foot box truck safely and efficiently along your assigned route.Deliver fresh bread and bakery products to accounts on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.Merchandise products by stocking shelves, and rotating stock in grocery stores and restaurants to maximize sales and minimize waste.Interact professionally with store managers and staff to address needs, resolve issues, and build positive relationships.Predict and place accurate orders for upcoming deliveries based on sales trends, promotions, and customer feedback to optimize inventory and boost profitability.If extra hours are preferred.Perform pull-up duties on Wednesdays and Sundays Maintain accurate records of sales, credits, returns, and settlements.Keep the delivery vehicle clean, organized, and in good working condition.Primary delivery days:Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday Pull-up/service days:Wednesday and Sunday Approximately 35-50 hours per week on average.Based on ability and schedule choice.This is a physically demanding role requiring regular lifting, frequent bending, reaching, squatting, and standing.Work is primarily indoors with some exposure to outdoors, with early starts and exposure to varying weather conditions.Compensation & Benefits Base pay:$1,000 per week with pull ups Two weeks of paid vacation annually $2,500 yearly performance bonus Opportunity for growth:Strong performers who take full ownership can increase efficiency, potentially shortening hours while maintaining or improving earnings.Ideal Candidate Self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset who enjoys running their own operation Reliable, detail-oriented, and accountable--someone who takes pride in accuracy and ownership Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision Strong customer service skills and ability to build rapport with store personnel Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Physically fit and able to handle the demands of heavy lifting Previous experience in delivery, route sales, merchandising, inventory management, or warehouse operations is a plus, but not required--we value attitude and work ethic above all If you're looking for a rewarding role with real independence, the chance to operate like your own boss, and the satisfaction of seeing your efforts directly impact results, this bread route could be the perfect fit.Many people underestimate the skill and ownership involved--it's far more than just driving--but for the right person, it's an awesome opportunity to build something meaningful and potentially scale your success.Potential to purchase the route.Job Type:Full-time Pay:$800.00 - $1,116.67 per week Benefits:Paid time off Relocation assistance People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply Work Location:In person.
