Flatbed Driver (CDL Class A)

Position Description 2+ Years EXP Req. 6 Months W/Steel Pay: 0.65-0.71 per mile ($2500 sign on bonus) We are inviting you to work for a 50+ year-old company that is expanding its flatbed division. We are seeking reliable and skilled drivers to join our team. The ideal candidates will need to have 2+ years’ experience in operating a Class A semi, including a minimum of 6 months with steel. As a truck driver, you will be responsible for properly securing cargo and transporting freight safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and the ability to manage time effectively to ensure timely deliveries. Responsibilities Operate trucks, including flatbed tractor-trailer, to transport goods to designated locations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery logs and vehicle maintenance reports. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Adhere to all federal, state, and local driving regulations while on the road. Ensure that cargo is secured properly to prevent damage during transit. Qualifications CDL CLASS A Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record. 2+ YEARS Experience in truck driving with knowledge of flatbed, dry van trailers preferred. Ability to operate forklifts for loading and unloading freight is a plus. Strong understanding of freight handling procedures and safety protocols. Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and customers. Must be able to pass background checks and drug screenings as required by company policy.
